PPK/S
This model is the thing which I put the kit which I purchased together
into recently. But, for the issue of trademark, it is a model of "a MARUSHIN" banner. It is an overall well-designed model, and the gun fired smoothly after only removing some burr from the mechanical parts, without having to rub or polish the sliding resin surfaces. I think that this is recommended one plane class. For some reason or other, I have not liked plating models and have not got one. It may be because I have a trauma that most of the cheap toys in old days had silver coating. However, though I suffered, I purchased PPK/S because this is what I have been wanting to get someday. |
It was the thing which grew well generally, but there was a disappointing
point. This model for a kit model have bubbled and irregularity of plating . And I think that parting line of an invisible part should have been taken・・・. |

When I assembled it, I machined it, and there was the place that it was
hard to cross. |
|
I was kept long about screwing straight a cocking piece screw of an arrow. I seem to go well when I reduce last side share of a screw. However, I protested by force to become honest. threaded hole center does not seem to meet cocking piece center for some reason. |
At the time of assembling time and the resolution, I grind slide diagonally, but it is difficult to lift slide because I hit barrel. Therefore I sharpened an arrow point part. I reduce only the inside so that the slide surface does not have influence. I contributed to the fact, and a thing equal to barrel disappeared at the time of the resolution and gets possible to disintegrate easily. |
As for the influence to the external appearance, because the ball B to
fix the trigger guard thrusts down to the frame in the breakup, the figure
is bulged like A. Therefore I sharpened a ball. Since the parts are invisible, they are processed roughly and therefore get dented. It is normal to place the trigger guard on the frame moving a little from side to side in order to let the trigger guard not get in the frame, but in this model, though moving a little from side to side, it gets back to the original and thrusts down to the frame. Therefore, the frame does not get interfered, but in breakup, the trigger guard has to be pulled. However, while this may be applicable only to the ABS models, perhaps due to the strong recoil force after firing, the slide shifted back to the extent that it was pushing down the trigger guard, making the slide face towards the direction for removal, and the slide could not move forward any more. |
This is only relevant to those who would fire the gun, but there have been instances where the indicator pin jumped out and remained stuck after firing. It appears that the original spring that comes with gun is weak, and the ABS model fires, perhaps, with too much force, moving the slide further back than is necessary during blowback action. As a result, the indicator pin does not return to its hole, and it becomes stuck on the inner side of the breach. A spare extension spring (2mm length) was used as a washer in order to keep the spring in its shrunken state. The breach on this model is not adhered by glue and is fitted using a dovetail groove; it can be removed by slowing pushing it up from both ends. Note that there is a leaf spring inside, so do not forget the direction that it was fitted when disassembling. The disassembly procedure is not written in the instruction manual since the gun is not supposed to be taken apart. Make sure only to disassemble at your own risk. |
The thing which I assembled did not hold open . Perhaps due to a weak magazine spring or a large idle, the magazine floor did not push up the injector sufficiently. Therefore the part that makes contact with the magazine floor, which can be bent up to 90 degrees, was bent slightly downwards in order to permit it to push up against the magazine floor slightly more quickly. |
Some problems have been noted, and although some practice would be required for assembling the kit, the number of the parts is small, and the finished product functions excellently. We highly recommend that you take a look at the product when you have the opportunity. |
